Working Together
Sometimes an hour a week is enough. Other times, you may need more.
High-conflict divorce doesn't unfold neatly from one weekly appointment to the next. You can keep being pulled back into the conflict even when you don't want to. High-conflict divorce can bring up much more than just “what happened this week.”
There may be grief that doesn't have a clean ending. Questions about who you are outside the marriage. Parts of your old life you're trying to hold onto—and others you're ready to leave behind. Or something you keep circling back to because you know there's more there to understand.
Some of that work fits naturally into weekly therapy.
Sometimes, you want enough time to stay with it.
I offer both traditional therapy and longer intensive sessions, so we can choose the format that fits the work we do together.
Traditional Therapy
Traditional sessions give you steady, ongoing support as you move through the divorce and start rebuilding what comes next — a consistent place to bring whatever the week has stirred up.
We may work with grief, anger, uncertainty, identity, relationships, old patterns the divorce keeps activating, or reactions you understand intellectually but can't seem to change. Some weeks that means working with something happening right now. Others, it means going deeper.
When an Intensive Session May Serve You Better
An intensive gives you:
Time to move past what happened and actually understand why it affected you the way it did
Room to stay with something important instead of stopping just as it opens up
Space for experiential, depth-oriented work — working with emotions directly, not just talking about them
Enough continuity to follow a pattern, a memory, or a piece of grief all the way through
The chance to complete a meaningful piece of work in one concentrated period, rather than spread thin over months
Some people use a single intensive to work through one particular issue. Others combine intensives with traditional therapy over time. There's no predetermined program — we'll decide together what fits what you're working on.
Traditional Therapy
Sessions may be eligible for coverage through most major insurance plans, depending on your individual benefits.
Self-pay is also available, at a rate of $150 per hour.
Intensive Therapy
Intensives are self-pay, at $150 per hour, scheduled in extended blocks of 2-6 hours, with non-billable breaks as needed. Because intensives are private pay, they aren't submitted to insurance for reimbursement and records are kept confidential.
Sessions are available virtually for clients located in Florida, with limited in-person availability, by request.
